Blasting

Wet blasting offers a cleaner, cooler, and more controlled surface preparation process compared to traditional dry blasting. By combining water with abrasive media, wet blasting dramatically reduces airborne dust, minimizes heat buildup, and helps prevent warping on thinner or more delicate materials. This process creates a more even surface finish while also improving visibility during blasting and reducing environmental contamination around the work area. At Harts Precision, we use crushed bottle glass media because it delivers an aggressive yet consistent cut without embedding contaminants into the surface. Along with using a rust inhibitor, the result is a superior surface preparation process that helps coatings adhere better, improves finish quality, and protects the integrity of the material being blasted.
